Frontier Equine Assisted Leadership for Teams
The Purpose
HorsePower’s FEAL Corporate Workshops are hands-on, ground-based sessions that help your team work better together. Using equine-assisted activities, we focus on improving teamwork, communication, and leadership skills within a work environment. Each workshop is designed to fit your team’s needs, and gives practical ways to improve how you connect and collaborate.
How it Works
During the workshop, your team will work together with a trained facilitator and our horses. The facilitator leads group activities that help your team practice working as one, communicating clearly, and solving problems together. Because horses respond mainly to non‑verbal cues, your team gets immediate feedback on alignment between intention and presentation, concepts core to emotional intelligence and effective interactions.
What to Expect
The workshop is very hands-on and practical. It's about interacting, not riding. Your team will try new ways of working together while the horses reflect what’s really happening. You’ll see how trust forms, what ‘having each other’s back’ looks like in action, and how diverse ages and backgrounds can align around a shared goal. Our horses will reveal team dynamics and encourage positive behavioural changes with quick, honest feedback on how it's going.
Progress starts with curiosity: don’t fear what you don’t know! We will always meet you where you are.
Workshop Outcomes
Common outcomes include improved workplace relationships and connectedness, higher engagement, reduced stress, clearer non‑verbal communication, better alignment between intention and presentation, stronger leadership and collaboration.

Why Horse‑Assisted Learning Builds Stronger Workplace Skills
Horses Reveal Team Dynamics
Horses respond honestly and immediately to your team’s energy and behaviour. They show you what’s really happening beneath the surface, making it easier to see both strengths and areas to improve. Their feedback makes the power of teamwork visible, both what helps and what gets in the way.
Workshops Build Communication and Trust
Working with horses helps your team develop clear communication, trust, and respect, all skills that are essential for success at work. Horses also make trust visible. In the herd, members have each other’s back despite differences; your team will see how that applies to working across generations and ethnicities.
Encourages Leadership and Accountability
Experiencing leadership and collaboration with horses teaches your team to take responsibility and solve problems creatively. This practical approach leads to lasting change that benefits your company every day.
Frequently Asked Questions
If equine‑assisted learning is new to you, this is a great place to start. We’ve answered some common questions here and on our FAQs page. If you still need a hand, just reach out and ask. We’re happy to help you decide if this is the right fit for your team.
Do I get to ride the horse?
No. At HorsePower, our FEAL sessions are always boots-on-the-ground. You won't ride or otherwise get on the horse!
What is the ideal group size for a workshop?
We find groups of 3 to 8 work best, because they are big enough for good interaction, small enough that everyone gets involved. We can accommodate up to 15 participants in a group, however. If you have any questions, just reach out and ask!
How do you tailor workshops to different groups?
Before the workshop, we work with you to understand your group’s goals and challenges. Activities are then designed to focus on the skills and areas that matter most to your group. If you have specific goals or group dynamics you would like to discuss, please reach out at any time.
Can FEAL sessions help lower stress?
Yes! After working in a natural settings with grounded horses, our participants commonly report feeling more relaxed and engaged after the workshop.

Maybe! It would depend on knowing some specifics, so if you are interested in having HorsePower, please reach out to us through this website and explain your needs. We'll get back to you and see how we can help.
How are FEAL sessions structured?
The exact structure depends on the type of program—for example, individual, group, or school—but here's a general overview of how a session at HorsePower unfolds:
Meet & greet: Arrival, safety overview and set intentions so we know what matters most to you.
Intro: Gentle introduction to the horse and the space; you set the pace.
Action: Ground‑based activity (no riding) tailored to your goals. This may be leading, boundary work, obstacle navigation, or practising calm under pressure. You get real‑time feedback from the horse and facilitator.
Debrief: Review what happened, how your actions landed, and facilitator coaching.
Reflection: Guided conversation and optional written reflection; choose an “achievement word” that captures your key insight.
See‑yas!: Translate insights into practical next steps and optional light home practices; close and say goodbye.
